Set the name and the colours for each team. Every change appears on every screen that is in the live room.
Numbers run from 1 to 15. Number 1 is the goalkeeper. Press How to Use at the top for everything else.
A board saved here stays on this device, so a play you use every week is one tap away. It keeps the players, the ball, everything drawn and the whole move. Export writes the same thing out as a file, which is how you move a board to another device or send it to another coach.
Press Line Out and both teams take up their places, one to fifteen, goalkeeper in goal. Drag anyone where you want them. Numbers run from 1 to 15 and the ball starts on the throw in spot, moves like any player, and always sits above them so it is never buried.
Press Setup to put in your own team names and colours. Kit, trim and number colour are set separately for the outfield players and the goalkeeper.
On a phone or a tablet, pinch to zoom and drag the grass to move around. On a laptop, roll the wheel. Double tap the grass, or press the Fit button in the corner, to put the whole pitch back on the screen. Rotate stands the pitch up for a portrait screen.
Press Draw under the board and the tools appear in four groups.
Draw holds the lines. Run and Pass are arrows, dragged from where the movement starts to where it ends. Link joins two players with a line that stays joined to them: tap one player, tap the next, keep tapping to run a chain, then tap the grass to finish. Because a connector is held by the players rather than laid on the grass, it follows them through every frame of a move.
Shapes holds the square, the circle and the triangle, each dragged out to the size you want, with Fill switching between striped and outline.
Add holds the things you drop on the grass: cones, coaches, extra balls, portable goals and text. A label takes up to a hundred and twenty characters across as many as six lines, so press Enter where you want a new line.
Change works on what is already there. Edit picks up whatever you tap, of any kind, and a strip appears underneath offering only what that thing can change: its colour, its size in three steps, which way it faces, and for a label the words themselves and a background in a colour of its own. A run or a pass also gets a grip on each end so its length and direction can be dragged. Move picks up anything, players included. Rotate turns anything. Erase takes one thing away at a time.
Undo takes back the last thing you did, whether that was drawing something or moving a player. Clear removes everything drawn, and Reset puts the players back on the sideline as well.
Press Live Room and a code and a QR appear on the screen. Anyone in the room scans it with a phone and is on the same board as you, able to move any player. They need no password and no app. Hand it to the players and let them talk the tactics out between themselves.
The teams, the colours, the board file, the reset and clearing the board stay with the coach who opened the room.
Image saves a picture of the board as it stands, ready for a presentation or to send to a player.
Animate builds a move out of stills. Set the players up and press Add. Move them on and press Add again. Every Add is another frame, and the board glides between them when you press Play. Tap a number to jump to that frame, Update to overwrite it with what is on the board now, Delete to take out the frame you are on, and Clear All to remove the whole move and leave the players standing where they are.
Video writes the move out as an MP4 and shows it to you in a player first. Watch it, then keep it or throw it away.
Save Board under Setup keeps the board on this device under a name of your choosing, so a play you use every week is one tap away. Export writes the same thing out as a file, which is how you move a board to another device or send it to another coach, and Import reads one back.
